Reykyarnvik is a tiny yarn-dyeing operation run in Ragga’s kitchen in Reykjavík, Iceland. Ragga wanted to do something funky and fun to the lovely Icelandic one ply, lace weight wool known as Einband or Loðband. So Nammi was created in vibrant summery colors irresistable to knitters. It knits up lovely for shawls, hats, sweaters or whatever you like. You can buy Nammi by ordering directly from Ragga at knitting@knittingiceland.com or at Nálin, handcraftstore, Laugavegur 8, Reykyavík, should you be passing by.
The dyer, Ragga, is a born again knitter/yarnie who loves everything that has to do with knitting and fiber in general. You can see Ragga’s knitted stuff on her Icelandic knitting blog, on her Flickr page, on Knitting Iceland and of course on Ravelry where she is known as Reykyarnvik.
